A school in China will be named after
Rhode Island
在中国将有一所以罗德岛命名的学校
In total we raised two hundred fifty thousand dollars. Our committee decided to send $20,000 to China Red Cross. The rest ($230,000) will be used to help the reconstruction of a school in the quake-affected area. An elementary school named "LiuQiao (Willow Bridge) Elementary School" recommended by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Sichuan has been chosen as the recipient of this fund.
Our fund will be used to build a new three-storyed fully equipped teaching building with an area of about 13,200 square feet. The project has been approved by local government and is under construction by a reputable company. This new building is expected to be completed around the end of August of this year so that it can be put into use for the new school year starting in September.
Upon its completion, the school will be renamed as "LiuQiao Rhode Island Hope School", in honor of the humanities of all the donors.

再次感谢大家众志成城，总共筹集到了二十五万美元善款。其中两万美元已经通过纽约总领馆转交到了中国红十字总会。其余二十三万美元将被用于帮助一所灾区学校的重建。由四川省侨务办公室推荐的广元市元坝区柳桥小学被确定为受益方。
我们大家的捐赠的资金将被用于建造一栋三层楼高，约一万三千平方英尺，装备齐全的教学楼。此项目已被当地政府批准，并正在由一家信誉良好，质量可靠的建筑队施工。预计教学楼将在今年八月底完成，以便在九月开始的新学年投入使用。 届时，柳桥小学将更名为“柳桥罗德岛侨爱学校”，以纪念所有捐赠人的爱心。
