今天我们募捐到一万七千零六美元！

5/18 简讯。 今日罗德岛州中国地震赈灾委员会正式成立。.

我们订出了为赈灾筹款二十万美元的行动目标， 将在两周内开展一系列的活动。详情请看”ABOUT US”。

今天我们进行了第一次募捐。短短两个小时内，设立在华协办公室的捐款箱已募到了七千零六美元， 其中支票五千六百美元，现金一千四百零六美元。 今日下午在罗德岛州中国地震赈灾委员会第一次会议上，有一个匿名机构捐出一万美元，使我们已筹集金额达到了一万七千零六美元！ 该机构还表示将对我们委员会筹集的款项进行总额四万美元的一圆对一圆配捐， 让我们兴奋激昂。 大家的付出会得到双倍的效应，一定要让这四万元配捐尽早成为现实。

感谢今日捐款的个人与机构， 还有我们的义工。有一些同胞今天不能前来，但已打来电话认捐， Gina 为捐款跑了两趟，这些都让我们感动。

We raised $17006.00 today!

May 18. China Earthquake Relief Committee of Rhode Island is officially established today. The goal has been set to raise $200,000 for the victims and a series of events will be carried out in the following two weeks. The drive is to be ended on June 1. Therefore, please send your contribution as soon as possible.

We raised $7006 in about 2 hours this morning at the office site of our committee and an anonymous organization donated $10,000 later today. It will also provide a dollar-to-dollar match for up to $40,000 raised through our committee.
